Business Administration Program- Prince Rupert

Job description and duties

Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Prince Rupert campus, invites applications for a non-regular Instructor in our Business Administration (BADM) program for the winter 2025 semester (subject to minimum enrolment). Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Instructor salary scale (range: $37.55 and $66.37 hourly).

Duties: The instructor will be responsible for contributing to the academic success of students in the BADM program. This includes course preparation, teaching, evaluation of student work and guiding students by providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction.

  • MARK 150: Introduction to Marketing (January 6, 2025 to April 25, 2025)
  • MGMT 150: Principles of Management (January 6, 2025 to April 25, 2025)

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Business (MBA preferred) or a closely related discipline (Commerce, Economics, Finance, Accounting). Additional post-secondary education and training in teaching, (e.g. A Master’s Degree in Adult Education, a Provincial Teaching Certificate or, a Provincial Instructor's Diploma) is preferred.

  • Experience teaching in a variety of formats, including online, face to face and through distributed learning is required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching with the ability to motivate and mentor learners of all ages
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for the best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom
Ability to function effectively across cultures, particularly with the Indigenous communities is an asset.
