Call for nominations: Support Staff Seat
- 1 support staff representative seat for Board of Governors
Term of office: 3 year term from September 2022 to September 2025
All nominees are required to submit a typed candidate statement, no longer than 250 words in length, along with their completed nomination form. Nomination forms must be received by afenske@coastmountaincollege.ca or hanjaria@coastmountaincollege.ca by 4:00 pm on June 1, 2022.

Polling stations will be set up in the Registration office at the Terrace Campus, in the library at the Prince Rupert campus, and the registration desks at all other campuses. |
*If at the close of the nomination period there is only one candidate per seat available, the nominated candidate will be declared elected.
Eligibility to participate
In order to be a candidate or nominator, a faculty or support staff member must be:
- employed by Coast Mountain College as faculty or support staff as of the notice of election date, and;
- a dues paying member of CUPE local 2409 or the BCGEU Instructional bargaining unit or the BCGEU Support Staff Bargaining unit, or;
- on leave which allows accrual of seniority.
A staff member may only participate in the election in one category. For example, if a person is employed in both support and faculty positions, she/he participates in the category where the majority of his/her seniority is accrued.
A staff member who is also a student can only participate in either the staff or the student election. S/he would participate in whichever is the primary activity.
