Leaders in Action

Support student life at CMTN by helping plan and host events and activities.

 

Leaders in Action volunteers help organize and run a wide range of social, cultural, and sporting events—both on and off campus. All volunteers receive training and orientation to build skills that support student engagement.

This opportunity is open to all full-time Coast Mountain College students.


Leaders in Action

As a Leaders in Action volunteer, you may:

  • Participate in a committee to plan and host off-campus events for students
  • Lead campus tours and assist at orientation sessions
  • Assist with on-campus cultural and special events

  • A reference letter and Statement of Achievement
  • A chance to meet new people and build community
  • Opportunities to develop new skills and experiences
  • Recognition for your contributions

Exceptional volunteers may also receive additional incentives!

 

Eligibility

To join, you must:

  • Be a full-time CMTN student (6+ credits per term)
  • Commit to at least 10 volunteer hours per semester
  • Be enthusiastic, outgoing, and complete training with Student Services

 

Leaders in Action benefits and recognition

All volunteers receive:

  • A Leaders in Action vest and T-shirt
  • A $150 honorarium per semester
  • A celebration luncheon or dinner
  • A Leaders in Action certificate
