4th Class Power Engineer Program


The 4th Class Power Engineer program provides strong practical skills and technical knowledge to people wanting to enter the power engineering field. After completing this 40-week program, graduates will be prepared to undertake government examinations for an Interprovincial 4th Class Power Engineer's Certificate of Competency. 

Student tuition funded by AltaGas and program offered in partnership with AltaGas, College of New Caledonia (CNC), and Coast Mountain College (CMTN).

April 1, 2026 - Prince Rupert Campus 

This program includes required travel to CNC campus in Prince George. 

Program fees

This program is FREE. Student tuition funded by AltaGas.

Complete the Application Package and return to wtcs@coastmountaincollege.ca by the application deadline of January 15, 2026.

Note: Completing an application package does not guarantee a spot in the 4th Class Power Engineer program. We will contact all applicants following the deadline regarding their status.
