CMTN President Kohlman stepping down, search for new President begins

Coast Mountain College President and CEO, Justin Kohlman is stepping down from his role effective November 1, 2021. 

Kohlman has been with Coast Mountain College for six years. He first joined as Vice President, Academic and International in May 2015. He became President and CEO in October 2019.

“The Board of Governors of Coast Mountain College will soon begin the recruitment process for a new President and CEO to help CMTN achieve its goal to become the college of choice for experiential, place-based learning,” says chair of the Coast Mountain College Board of Governors, Nicole Halbauer, X’staam Hana’ax. 

“We wish Justin all the best in his next steps of
his career.”

Kohlman is moving on to a new role as President and CEO of Grande Prairie Regional College in Alberta.

“While I am excited to be returning to the Prairies, it is definitely hard leaving Coast Mountain College,” said Kohlman, adding his move will allow him to be closer to family. 

“This has been a dream job for me, and I am so thankful for everything I have gained from this college and this region.”
