International Marketing Officer (Terrace campus)

Job description and duties

Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace Campus, invites applications for a full-time term International Marketing Officer commencing as soon as possible and ends September 15, 2025 (subject to a leave). This position requires some evening or weekend hours as well as some travel. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff Scale, Level 10: $2,381.40 biweekly plus a comprehensive benefit plan.

Duties:  The International Marketing Officer will provide marketing support for international initiatives including researching and making recommendations on an international social media strategy and developing content for international print collateral. This position supports the Marketing & Recruitment team by developing, curating, and maintaining compelling print, website, digital, and social media content that appeals to both local and international audiences.

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Developing concepts and content for print and digital marketing initiatives to support international recruitment
  • Liaising with the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, recruitment team, and with our international partners and agents as required for marketing initiatives
  • Working closely with the student recruitment team to engage and explore current international and domestic student trends
  • Collaborating with various college departments to gather information, fact check, and write new content or re-write existing content to meet the goals of the strategic marketing plan
  • Maintaining a bank of student and industry testimonial quotes and student stories for marketing purposes
  • Presenting a positive image for the College to both international and domestic clients 

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or a related field along with a minimum of five years of progressive experience in marketing, international recruitment or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required skills, abilities and knowledge include:

  • An understanding of website user experience and best practices for social media platforms and communications
  • Excellent writing and grammar abilities with skills to adjust writing style for different media channels including social media platforms, newsletters, handbooks, and others
  • Detail-oriented with the demonstrated ability to create effective marketing materials following brand standards
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for the best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion with an understanding of cross-cultural communications issues
  • Able to be independently motivated within a team environment
  • Project planning and monitoring skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Fluency in English is required and the ability to read and communicate effectively in languages other than English is an asset
