Mental wellness & counselling

Life can be challenging. School, work, family, and personal struggles can all have an impact on our mental wellness. There are supports available.

If you or somebody you know is in crisis, call the BC Crisis Line at 1.800.SUICIDE or 1.800.784.2433 or the KU-US Crisis Line (24 hour phone support for Indigenous people in BC) at 1.800.588.8717.

Early Alert Referral

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, academics, or other issues, you can use the Early Alert Referral Form to connect with a Learner Services staff member. They can help with next steps.

Regional Counsellors (In-Person)

CMTN has partnered with counsellors in our region to provide in-person counselling services to our students. For regional counselling, $75 per visit is covered by your extended health benefits through the Student Union, and CMTN will pay the balance for up to five sessions. Contact CMTN's Mental Health and Wellness Officer to find out more.
