• Transfer Scholarships

  If you are transferring between two BC public post-secondary institutions to continue your education, you may be eligible for a $5,000 Transfer Scholarship.

  You can apply for a Transfer Scholarship after one year of full-time study if you MUST transfer to complete your degree, or after two years of full-time study if you CHOOSE to transfer to complete your degree.

  Transfer Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement (B GPA required) and community service or volunteerism.

• Indigenous Awards

  The BC Scholarship Society offers award programs for students pursuing post-secondary education in BC. They are available to students who identify as Indigenous, defined as First Nations (status or non-status), Metis or Inuit.

  Apprenticeship/Trades Training/Certificates/Diplomas $1,000 for programs a minimum of 9 wks in length; $2,000 for programs over 12 wks.

  Associate Degrees $2,500

• Women in Technology Scholarships

  The BC Scholarship Society awards ten scholarships annually to recognize women who are excelling at the study of Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics at the post-secondary level.  At least one of these scholarships is dedicated to a woman of Indigenous ancestry.

  Women in Technology Scholarships and Indigenous Women in Technology Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement (minimum B+ GPA required), and a demonstrated commitment to the pursuit of a career in the Technology Sector.

  You must have completed a minimum of one-year of full-time studies (30 credits) leading to an undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, and be continuing in your studies at a BC public post-secondary institution for at least one additional year.

• Adult Basic Education Transition Awards

  Students taking Adult Basic Education (ABE) courses who are planning to continue their education with post-secondary studies can apply for a $5,000 Transition Award from the BC Scholarship Society. Transition Awards are awarded on the basis of clearly articulated life/education goals and demonstrated community activities and/or volunteer service.

• International Scholarships

  The BC Scholarship Society's International Scholarship Program assists students who plan to complete some of their post-secondary courses or related work experience outside of North America.

  One World International Scholarships of between $2,000 – $5,000 are awarded to students participating in study, or work-abroad programs that are either experiential learning opportunities (language or cultural training), or that provide credits toward the BC academic credential they are working towards.

  Premier’s International Scholarships are $6,000 – $10,000 scholarships for credential granting study abroad and are awarded to students demonstrating exceptional academic achievement and a clear sense of how a globally literate citizenry impacts our society.
