Inequity and Racism in Algorithmic Tools

What does it mean to use applications like ChatGPT? These technologies, based on large language models, often come up in conversation where the main concern is student use, and what it means for plagiarism and academic misconduct? But what does it actually mean to use these applications? What impacts do their development and use have across the world at large? In this series, invited speakers will illuminate things we should think about when considering how to engage with this technology.
