Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for a Full-time continuing Food Services Coordinator commencing April 13, 2026. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff Salary Scale, Level 11 [under review]: $2,546.60 biweekly plus a comprehensive benefit plan.

Duties: Reporting to the AVP, Corporate Services, the Food Services Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of Food Service operations including the development, promotion and delivery of the Food and Catering services on the Terrace campus.
The coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily kitchen operations of the Food Services Department ensuring food safety, sanitation and that service standards are met for both the cafeteria and the cafe. The role develops food service programs and provides guidance and instruction to staff. The Coordinator ensures employees receive training, guidance and supervision so that all health, safety and food service standards are met. The Coordinator is responsible for menu development and supporting implementation of meal programs for both the Cafeteria and the Cafe.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Ensures the development of menus to meet the needs of Food Services operations and individual client needs; consults and provides advice/ direction on food allergy issues/restrictions and ensures related health and safety requirements are met (e.g. proper signage).
- Monitors operational Food Services efficiency and carry out cost analyses for menu items as needed, advising when price increases need to be considered.
- In collaboration with Marketing, develop promotional materials, tools, web pages, posters, etc. for Food Services using CMTN templates.
- Maintains oversight and ensures efficient financial administration of the Food Services area (Café, Cafeteria, and Catering services) including budget development and monitoring, expense monitoring and management and all purchases.
- Responsible for ensuring proper food sanitation and equipment maintenance plans in accordance with health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Coordinate staff and student training to meet health and safety requirements. Assist with new training initiatives, conduct safety and emergency protocol orientation for new staff.
- Coordinate general cleaning and maintenance activities including Food Safety Transportation Plans.
