Coast Mountain College (CMTN), invites applications for a full-time term Instructor in the Health Care Assistant Program commencing September 2, 2025, and ending on September 3, 2027 (subject to a leave). Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Instructor Scale ranging from $2,752.72 to $3,560.23 biweekly plus a comprehensive benefits plan.

Duties:  The instructor will be responsible for contributing to the academic success of students in the Heath Care Assistant, and Health Career Access Programs. This position is to supplement instructors who are on leave and/or working/teaching a reduced amount. Occasional travel and evening/weekend work are required

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications require current registration as an LPN, RN, or RPN in British Columbia, along with a demonstrated experience in teaching adult learners. This could include completion of a Provincial Instructors Diploma, equivalent education, or prior teaching roles supported by satisfactory references, positive evaluations, or student feedback.

Applicants must have at least 2 years of full-time nursing experience, with strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, healthcare team dynamics, and current policies across residential, acute care, and community settings. Preferred experience includes working with older adults with complex health needs, as well as familiarity with home support, multi-level/complex care, and acute care environments.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and proficiency with technology. Additionally, strong organizational, interpersonal, and collaborative skills are essential.
