Women belong in the trades. There are 3,600 registered female apprentices in B.C. Skilled tradeswomen are in high demand as 900,000 job openings are expected by 2027. Women will play a vital role in keeping the economy diverse, healthy, and growing.
Intro to Trades for Women teaches safe work practices, trades terminology, necessary hand skills, safe use of tools and equipment, general working knowledge of the trades and the path to an apprenticeship.
There are endless opportunities for rewarding jobs in Canada, specifically in Northwest, British Colombia. After an Intro to Trades program, our students have a better sense of which skilled trade appeals to them, the prerequisites for further training and what the path looks like to start working towards a lucrative career and become an asset to any company.
