CMTN Alumnus Anjo Colago is selected at 2023 International Alumni of Impact Winner

Jun 29, 2023

anjo-colagoTerrace, BC -- Coast Mountain College is sending a warm congratulations to Anjo Colago, who has been selected as a 2023 International Alumni of Impact winner.

Anjo first came to Coast Mountain College in 2019 from the Philippines to pursue a Post-Degree Diploma in Business. Since his arrival, Anjo has dedicated himself to promote diversity and inclusivity on campus, through volunteering with the Leaders in Action program, and then later with the Filipino Community Association of Terrace. Anjo currently serves at the Student Housing Coordinator in Wii Gyemsiga Siwilaawksat, continuing his efforts to build and celebrate inclusivity by bridging gaps between different cultures and ensuring all students feel valued within the College.

“At CMTN, we learn to go above and beyond the four corners of the room. Guided by CMTN’s principles of Adventure, Transformation, and Integrity, we have been in an environment where we can freely express ourselves, transform our own and other people’s lives and impact others with consistency and accountability in our actions,” says Anjo.

Anjo’s nominator for the award, Hyeyoung Kang, Manager of Student Recruitment, says this award is very well-deserved. “[Anjo] works tirelessly to share his belief in the importance of all Canadians and newcomers including international students feeling welcome and acknowledged in our society regardless of circumstances or background.”

2023 is the inaugural year for the International Alumni of Impact Awards, sponsored by ApplyBoard.
