Description

Pacific Northern Gas (PNG) strives to be a customer-focused, market-driven company which provides service of superior value to its customers. Its focus is safety, reliability, low cost, operating efficiency and adherence to high environmental standards.

PNG donated $25,000 to help support Coast Mountain College students, and together with matching funds from the CMTN Foundation, have established an endowed fund to provide 2 annual awards of $700 to CMTN Trades students in perpetuity.

Criteria

To be eligible a student must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or refugee, and BC resident living in northern BC in an area served by Pacific Northern Gas;
  • Be enrolled full-time in any one of the following Trades programs at CMTN: Automotive Services Technician Foundation or Apprenticeship, Carpentry, Electrical Foundations or Apprenticeship, Enhanced Welding or Welding Foundations, Heavy Mechanical Trades, Industrial Mechanic - Millwright;
  • Have a minimum mark of 75%;
  • Demonstrate financial need.

Preference will be given to one Indigenous student, and one student enrolled in a Youth Training in Trades program.
