Description

Coast Mountain College is pleased to offer bursaries of up to $5,000 to qualified Indigenous students registered in First Nations Fine Arts programs at the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art. These bursaries will be awarded to students who strive to develop and improve their artistic abilities and potential in traditional Northwest Coast Indigenous art forms. Bursaries will be awarded to first and second year applicants registered full-time in the First Nations Fine Arts Certificate or Diploma programs. 

Criteria

To be eligible a student must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or refugee, and BC resident;
  • Be Indigenous;
  • Be registered full-time (60% course load min) in the First Nations Fine Arts program (first or second year);
  • Have demonstrated potential in visual arts in the Northwest Coast style;
  • Demonstrate financial need.
