Sarah Davey is being celebrated for more than just her graduation from the University of Northern BC this month. At her ceremony, Sarah was awarded a pin for demonstrating strong leadership in the Northern Collaborative Baccalaureate of Nursing Program while attending the first two years at Coast Mountain College

Coast Mountain College students in the Engineering Certificate Program wrapped up their courses earlier this month with an automated-claw competition. Two groups of students designed, programmed, and built an automated claw that would close around an object as it approached the floor and could transport the object over a makeshift wall.

Originally from the Gitxsan village of Gitwangak, Cheyenne is a Gitksanimx Sim Algyax speaker and recently started teaching Intro to Gitksanimx Language Conversation (GITK 101) at Coast Mountain College’s (CMTN's) Hazelton campus.

In April, CMTN's Manager of Student Recruitment, Hyeyoung Kang, participated at the World Congress 2023 hosted by Colleges and Institutes Canada and the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics in Montreal, Quebec, with this year's theme being Collective Intelligence.

CMTN Early Childhood Care and Education students took part in the annual Youth Art Show at the Terrace Art Gallery this May, getting the opportunity to work alongside the Early Childhood Pedagogy Network at local daycares to understand the concept of "invisible bodies".

CMTN alumnus Roman Brochu is currently serving as the Executive Director of the Prince Rupert Chamber of Commerce. He shares insights into mentors he was fortunate to have in life, working in business, and offers advice to those considering business.
