Trades

Trades Sampler

In this course students learn safe work practices, trades terminology, basic hand skills, safe use of tools and equipment, a general working knowledge of the trades and the path to an apprenticeship and a career in the skilled trades.

There are many opportunities for careers in the skilled trades close to home, with good wages and career satisfaction. After an Intro to Trades program our students have a better sense of which skilled trade appeals to them, what the prerequisites are for further training and what the path looks like to work opportunities.

  • Welding (2 weeks)
  • Mechanical (1 week)
