Updated Public Health Orders in effect until April 19, 2021
Essential travel only
Travel continues to be limited to essential travel, work or medical reasons only. For those who have travelled outside their health region, if you or anyone in your family develops any signs of illness, you must stay home from work, school or daycare, and arrange to get tested immediately. For Coast Mountain College employees, this means non-essential is not permitted.
Continue to work from home where possible
BC’s Provincial Health Officer encouraged all employees who are able to work from home to continue to do so. Employees who work from home should only be on any Coast Mountain College campus if their work is essential. Employees are encouraged to speak to their managers if they have any questions.
Social gathering restrictions continue on campuses
A reminder that social gatherings on campus remain restricted. Anyone on Coast Mountain College campuses should only be gathering on campus for essential work purposes, and not social purposes.
Food services remain available on Terrace campus for students, staff, and faculty
Coast Mountain College students, staff and faculty who have an essential need to be on the Terrace campus will continue to be able to access food services in Waap Amgam’s (House of Cedar)
Cedar Café.
While restaurants in BC are limited to take-out only until April 19, 2021, dining facilities for student housing and cafeterias serving students, faculty and staff at educational institutions are exempt from the closure order. That means that the Cedar Café will continue to operate as usual.
