    Description

    Rick McDaniel PREC has been working hard to succeed at providing professional and personal service to clients in the pacific northwest for the last fourteen years. This award is a way of giving back to the community.

    “I love this region, and have watched it change and grow into the town we know & live in now. My hope is that this award will reduce the financial burden for an indigenous student striving to become a health professional in the north.”

    Criteria

    To be eligible a student must:

    • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or refugee, and BC resident;
    • Be enrolled in the second year of the Northern Collaborative Baccalaureate of Nursing Program (NCBNP);
    • Demonstrate financial need;
    • Identify as Indigenous;
    • A recommendation from an instructor will be required following selection.
    • Preference will be given to single parents.
