Four Coast Mountain College alumni will join other women carvers from the Northwest Coast for an exhibition at the Audain Art Museum in Whistler, BC titled CURVE! Women Carvers on the Northwest Coast. Arlene Ness, Cherish Alexander, Stephanie Anderson, and Veronica Waechter are displaying pieces alongside other iconic female carvers, including Ellen Neel, Freda Diesing, and Doreen Jensen, in the upcoming show.

Students in the Link to Employment and Academic Pathways (LEAP) program are testing their entrepreneurial skills with a mobile vendor cart on the Terrace campus this week. Operating the cart is part of a new course in the Retail Services Program where students go through training in customer service, communications, and debit processing (point of sale).
Delivering advanced education programs in Northern Canada comes with unique challenges, but for Instructor Ried Nelson, who teaches the Essential Office Skills program on location in Nunavut, through a partnership between Coast Mountain College and the Kitikmeot Inuit Association, working through those challenges is just one part of what makes the job so rewarding.
